Title: Smart internal transport system using robots
Objective: The objective of the project is to design and verify – as part of research and development efforts – the concept of a warehouse system operated by transport robots (hereinafter referred to as INTRO) that will autonomously collect and move pallet cargo units of the ground without the need of additional infrastructure elements such as racks, platforms and stands. The system would supplement the partially automated warehouse solutions used in e-commerce.
The outcome of the project: The successful outcome of the project shall be the development of an automated smart warehouse solution operated by autonomous robots which will collect and move pallet cargo units. Cargo units shall be picked up of the ground without the need of additional infrastructure elements such as stands, carts etc. As an additional outcome of the project a smart loading station – to facilitate the integration of transport robots with multi-level storage racking systems – shall be developed.
